Steadicam Operator's Workshops
The workshops are conducted over 2 days using Steadicam Zephyr, Flyer Scout or Pilot versions. All workshops are taught by Phil Balsdon, sometimes an experienced steadicam operator may be invited as an assistant instructor or guest speaker. The workshops are small groups - normally restricted to 4 students - so every student gets plenty of time flying the rigs and lots of individual instruction.
The Workshop fee is Aus$799 (inc GST) pre paid. To secure a place a deposit of 50% is required. This deposit is only refundable if notification of cancellation is received one month in advance or a replacement attendee can be found.
All necessary equipment is provided as well as lunch and snacks. Attendees receive a Workshop Manual & Certificate of Completion.
Steadi On Films can also can deliver "On Campus" Steadicam Operator Workshops for educational institutions, production companies and societies. We have conducted in house workshops for Broadcast TV Stations such as TCN Nine in Sydney and educational institutions such as the School of Design, Communication and IT at Newcastle University, NSW.
For these workshops we come to your venue at a time that suits your schedule.
Steadi On Films also offers private tuition for small groups or individuals. Most workshops are scheduled for weekends but many wedding video specialists are now utilising steadicam and Steadi On Films can arrange workshops to suit small groups during the week.
